Tawfik, Zaitiat, Adabia and Alatkh are all closed Suez - Sayed Abdullah Egypt’s Red Sea Ports Authority has closed four ports in Suez following bouts of bad weather. Authorities fear inclement conditions could endanger ships, with 35-knot winds and waves rising more than three metres. Winds have also picked up dust, hampering visibility across the province. Ports in Tawfik, Zaitiat, Adabia and Alatkh have all been shut due to the weather, although transport chief Major General Mohammed Abdul Qadir Djaballah claimed ports would reopen “within the next few hours.”
