A huge fire erupted in the Suez port Suez - Said Mohamed A huge fire erupted in the Suez port on Monday evening engulfing 3 boats and devouring many ship frames and ribs. The fire spread panic in the Atka area near the port as the flames rose high, lighting up the sky in the surrounding area. As 12 fire engines rushed to the spot, the highway was completely shut down and cars were jammed whilst the fire was doused. No causalities were reported. Initial investigations indicate that the accident was a result of recklessness of the ports’ workers.
