BBC Radio 1 has denied claims that Madonna's music isn't played in the station because she's "old and irrelevant."
In a Facebook post published Tuesday, the station defended itself against reports that songs from Madonna's new album, Rebel Heart, were not featured on its service because of her age.
According to E! News, songs from Madonna's new album are playing on BBC Radio 2, a station that caters to audiences 35 and older.
Other weathered artist like Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Boy George and Take That are also believed to have been "banned" from the popular station because of their age.
