A Berlin radio station owned by Fujairah Media Group has swept the board with three silver Awards in the annual German Business Awards. Fujairah Media Group is the broadcasting arm of the Emirate of Fujairah.
JazzRadio Berlin, Germany’s only FM jazz radio station, won Silver Awards for: Management Team of the Year, Business of the Year – Services, and Client Service Executive of the Year.
Other companies honoured in the awards, part of the international "Stevie Awards", included Coca-Cola, Hewlett Packard, Sky TV Germany, Mobilcom-Debitel, and the German postal service Deutsche Post.
Fujairah Media Group President & CEO Mekki Abdulla said, "This is a stunning achievement by JazzRadio in direct competition with many of Germany’s top companies.
"JazzRadio has already won more than 20 international awards for the quality of its programming in recent years. These awards show that we can also rank with the best for our performance as a business – it is the ideal combination".
Dr Lyria Messahel, JazzRadio Head of Programmes, said, "It gives our team great confidence to know we have the support of a major broadcasting group like Fujairah Media Group behind us".
