The draw for the TV and Radio appearances "direct expression" of candidates for the upcoming legislative elections began on Saturday morning at the Convention Centre in Tunis.
The draw involves the organisation of recording and broadcasting sessions on the national television and radio, said member of the Independent Higher Authority for the Elections (ISIE) Nabil Baffoun.
A second draw for appealing lists is planned for the coming days, he added.
For his part, President of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (HAICA) Nouri Lajmi emphasised the need to respect legal standards.
The HAICA will oversee the records that must be consistent with the specifications developed in co-ordination with the National Television Corporation, he added.
It will control the various stages of the process, in the presence of two judicial officers, he indicated, adding that in case of breaches, measures will be taken jointly by the ISIE and HAICA.
