Cairo – Akram Ali

Ismail Haniyeh Cairo – Akram Ali A delegation from the Gaza government headed by Ismail Haniyeh visits Cairo this week to discuss several economic projects including the establishment of an industrial zone on the borders with Egypt. The head of the Palestinian Studies Centre in Cairo told Arabstoday that the delegation will also  submit the possibility of opening the Rafa border crossing for 24 hours a day and to activate trade agreements with Egypt. The head of the Hamas government in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, announced yesterday that he will meet President Mohammed Morsi in Cairo next week. An independent investment firm will be established to oversee the management of the industrial zone. A border site close to the Rafah crossing has been selected to establish the zone, with a primary area of ??about 2000 dunhams (1 dunham equals one thousand square metres).
