Saudi Grains Organization has completed procedures for tenders to import an amount of 1,500,000 tons of fodder barley from origins of European Union, Australia, North and South America (excluding Canada) and Black Sea as the sixth batch contracted within this year.
The Organization's Governor Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris pointed out in statement today that 11 international companies have been awarded the contract for suppling on board 17 vessels distributed through the Kingdom's ports on the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf .
He pointed out that this sixth batch comes as an extension of a plan to cover the local demand for fodder barley and preserve its strategic stocks.
