Ajax followed up their midweek cup triumph over Roda JC with another convincing victory over the same opponents to end their five-match winless streak in the Eredivisie. Four days after a 4-2 win in Kerkrade sent Ajax through to the last 16 of the KNVB Beker, the Amsterdam club were celebrating again thanks to four unanswered goals from Christian Eriksen, Theo Janssen, Jody Lukoki and Lorenzo Ebicilio. Ajax had slumped to sixth in the table following their poor recent run, eight points behind leaders AZ Alkmaar, but coach Frank de Boer will hope today's win can see them start to climb back up the standings. Fellow title hopefuls FC Twente and PSV Eindhoven shared the points at De Grolsch Veste as neither side were able to significantly cut the gap on leaders AZ Alkmaar. Hosts Twente went ahead after ten minutes through Douglas, but PSV hit back to take the lead with goals from Zakaria Labyad and Marcelo. However, PSV lost Kevin Strootman to a red card in the 72nd minute and six minutes later they also lost the lead as Leroy Fer levelled the score at 2-2. The draw moves both sides on to 22 points, three behind AZ. who could double that advantage when they take on Heracles tomorrow. Heerenveen beat ten-man ADO Heerenveen beat ADO Den Haag 4-0, though Bas Dost's hat-trick all came after the visitors were reduced to ten men in the 76th minute. Luciano Narsingh opened the scoring two minutes before the break and ADO defender Christian Supusepa was given a straight red card, conceding a penalty in the 76th minute when he stepped on Narsingh's ankle in a reckless challenge. Dost scored that penalty and a second, after he was fouled by Gabor Horvath, and then tucked away Narsingh's cross to round off the win. An own goal from Ard van Peppen gave Excelsior their first win of the Eredivisie season over hapless RKC Waalwijk. Guy Ramos and Henrico Drost were also sent off on a night to forget for the visitors, who suffered their fourth away defeat of the season. The win was not enough to lift Excelsior off the foot of the standings, but it will have lifted confidence among a side who had lost eight of their ten league matches.
