Ajax were held to a 2-2 draw at home by NAC Breda in the Eredivisie tonight after Louis van Gaal's appointment as the club's new general director. The hosts took the lead after 35 minutes through Miralem Sulejmani. And when substitute Derek Boerriger doubled the lead after 83 minutes the home side looked on course for all three points, but two goals in the last five minutes through Santi Kolk and Robbert Schilder earned the visitors NAC a point. Title-chasing FC Twente were denied all three points at the death as Lerin Duarte's last-gasp goal earned Heracles Almelo a point. Going into the game in second place and six points behind leaders AZ Alkmaar, the visitors looked set to close that gap through Peter Wisgerhof's opener. But Duarte had other ideas, leaving it late to halt his side's two-game losing streak. Georgino Wijnaldum struck two second-half goals to earn PSV Eindhoven a 3-1 away victory over struggling De Graafschap. PSV had seen an early lead given to them by Tim Matavz wiped out by Soufian El Hassnaoui's 22nd-minute equaliser, but Wijnaldum's double after the break earned the visitors the victory and lifted them into second, three points behind AZ. Heerenveen hit back Gerald Sibon scored with 14 minutes to go as Heerenveen came from behind to draw 1-1 at home to RKC Waalwijk. Sibon had come on as a substitute eight minutes prior to his goal which earned his side a share of the spoils. Geoffrey Castillion had given the visitors the lead just 12 minutes into the game and looked to have secured them all three points until Sibon's late intervention. Roda JC ended their three-game winless run against NEC Nijmegen by winning 2-1 at De Goffert. Sanharib Malki scored the opening goal in the 53rd minute before Wiljan Pluim added the second. Melvin Platje pulled back what turned out be a consolation goal for NEC in the 76th minute.
