Atletico Madrid slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Segunda B side Albacete in the first leg of the Copa del Rey fourth round match on Thursday night. Antonio Calle put the home side in front with a 31st-minute penalty and Zurdo added a second on 62 before Miguel Nunez was sent off in the 50th minute. Adrian missed a penalty for Atletico two minutes later before the visitors were also reduced to 10 men on the hour when Alvaro Dominguez was dismissed. Adrian reduced the deficit in the 74th minute. Athletic Bilbao avoided a similar fate away to third tier Real Oviedo, with an 11th minute goal from Oscar de Marcos enough to give the Primera Liga side a 1-0 advantage ahead of the second leg later this month.
