Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes is demanding one last effort from his team in 2011 as they travel to Bochum in the third round of the DFB-Pokal tomorrow. Bayern will go into the new year with a three-point cushion at the top of the Bundesliga and a last-16 tie with Basel in the UEFA Champions League, but Heynckes wants his side to be gunning for three titles next year by reaching the quarter-finals of the cup. "The players know that not only do we want to spend the winter still in the cup, but we have ambitions to win it," he is quoted as saying by Kicker magazine. "The team is highly-motivated and nobody is relaxing. Until tomorrow night, the motto is all-out attack." Heynckes will show how seriously he takes the competition, and the challenge of his side's second-division hosts, by fielding a strong side at the Ruhr Stadion. "Certainly I will be fielding a side which gives us a certain guarantee of being able to win the match," he said. "It is going to be Bochum's match of the year and we are going to have to be in charge of the situation from the off." Bochum's clash with Bayern is the first of eight ties spread over two days. Nurnberg host neighbours Greuther Furth while there is another derby match in Dusseldorf tomorrow where Borussia Dortmund will be the guests. Hoffenheim's all-Bundesliga clash with Augsburg is tomorrow night's other encounter. On Wednesday, cup holders Schalke are in action at Borussia Monchengladbach, while Hertha Berlin host Kaiserslautern and Hamburg visit Stuttgart in two more top-flight affairs. Finally, fourth-division Holstein Kiel, the lowest-ranked side still left in the competition, will aim to reach the last eight at the expense of Mainz.
