Zamalek coach Hassan Shehata announced on Tuesday his 19-man squad for Wednesday’s clash against Arab Contractors in the Egyptian Premier League. Newly-signed defender Hany Saied, who joined Zamalek from Masry in the close season, was declared fit to make his first league appearance after recovering from a foot injury. The 26-year-old was injured when he kicked a door in fury after a touchline clash with his teammate Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala’ in the build-up to an Egypt Cup game in October. The squad also included Benin’s striker Razak Omotoyossi, who is set to fill the gap created by the absence of Amr Zaki after the Egypt striker abandoned Zamalek’s training last month in protest at the club’s failure to fulfill their financial obligations towards him. The White Knights will miss influential left-back Mohamed Abdel-Shafy for the first time this season after he picked up a hamstring injury. Zamalek are fifth in the league table with 10 points, four behind leaders and arch-rivals Ahly who have played a game more.
