James Milner was surprisingly named to start England's crucial Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland here Saturday, getting the nod over Aston Villa's Ashley Young. Young had been expected to start at Wembley after a series of fine performances for England earlier this season. However, England manager Fabio Capello preferred Milner in his starting line-up, one of three changes from the team which defeated Wales in Cardiff in March. Other changes saw Theo Walcott return in place of the suspended Wayne Rooney while Rio Ferdinand resumes at centre-half alongside captain John Terry. England start the game joint top of Group G with 10 points from four matches, leading Montenegro on goal difference.
