Kenyan midfielder McDonald Mariga has been left out of the squad for Friday's 2014 FIFA World Cup™ first-round qualifier against Seychelles in Roche Caiman due to injury. The Real Sociedad player, who picked up a hand injury while playing for the Spanish side in a 4-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, will also be out for the return match in Nairobi on Tuesday. Kenya will also be missing veteran striker Mike Baraza, who is recovering from a bout of malaria. However, head coach Francis Kimanzi, who is returning to the helm after five years believes the team is still strong enough to beat Seychelles in both games and qualify for the second round.
