Lyon ended a poor run which has hit their Ligue 1 title hopes with a thrilling finish against Toulouse, who staged a fightback in the second half, to secure a 3-2 victory. The home side were leading 3-0 and were looking set to seal only their second win in six matches in all competitions before the visitors hit them with two late goals. Toulouse had struggled for goals with only three in their last seven Ligue 1 matches, but the two they added tonight were in vain. Bakary Kone, Ederson and a Lisandro Lopez penalty put Lyon in control before strikes from Umut Bulut and Moussa Sissoko, from the penalty spot, created for a nervy finish. Toulouse created the first chance when Pavel Ninkov's shot across goal forced Hugo Lloris into a diving save at the expense of a corner. Paulo Machado fired over as the visitors again threatened before Lyon's Michel Bastos went close. The Brazilian was set up by Anthony Reveillere before firing a left-footed shot from distance which went just past the post. Lyon opened the scoring after 38 minutes when Kim Kallstrom's free-kick into the area found Kone who rose above the Toulouse defence to glance a header beyond Ali Ahamada. The Toulouse goalkeeper was then forced to turn the ball away for a corner after a fierce left-footed shot by Aly Cissokho on the edge of the area. Lloris then saw a shot from a tight angle by Franck Tabanou graze the post as the visitors began the second half in determined fashion. Lyon scored a second when Lopez passed to Ederson and from just inside the area he beat Ahamada with a fierce shot. With 25 minutes to go the home side were awarded a penalty when Ahamada brought down Lopez and the Argentinian striker sent the goalkeeper the wrong way from the spot. But with just over 20 minutes to go Toulouse hit back through Bulut, who noticed Lloris was off his line and beat the keeper with a looping effort from long range.
