Everton defender John Stones
Manchester - Arab Today

Manchester City have signed Everton defender John Stones for a reported fee of 47.5 million pounds, making him the most expensive defender in the history of the Premier League.
The 22-year-old England international who signed a six-year deal becomes City's eighth summer signing under new boss Pep Guardiola.
"I've obviously seen what's going on here at the Etihad, it's an ambitious club with a great manager so I can't wait to get stuck in and help achieve the goals," Stones said.
"I know it will be tough getting a place in this team but I'm determined to become the best player I can be and help us to success." In a short statement, Everton confirmed a deal was done and that Stones moved to City for "a record transfer fee." Stones was the subject of strong interest from Chelsea last summer under then manager Jose Mourinho but Everton managed to thwart the London club's interest to keep the young defender at their ranks.
"We want to help John show his quality with us and improve on what he has already achieved," Guardiola told City's official website.
"I like the way he plays the game and I'm looking forward to welcoming him into the squad." Stones represented England at u19, u20 and u21 level before making his senior international debut in 2014. He made his competitive debut in the Euro 2016 qualifying opener against Switzerland.
His capture follows those of Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Aleksandar Zinchenko, Aaron Mooy, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus, Marlos Moreno. He will take squad number 24 and is expected to partner Nicolas Otamendi in the heart of City's defense in the absence of injured captain Vincent Kompany.
