Shaun Wright-Phillips and John Guidetti scored second half goals as Manchester City rallied to beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 in a friendly Monday at Empire Field. Wright-Phillips scored the winner in the 84th minute, blasting a shot from 30 yards out that beat Whitecaps goalkeeper Jay Nolly in front of a crowd of 24,074 fans. Nolly had no chance on the play as the ball was perfectly placed into the top left corner. Wright-Phillips also scored in a 2-0 win over Club America on Saturday. Guidetti's header in the 68th minute gave Manchester City a 1-1 tie. Brazilian striker Camilo opened the scoring for Vancouver who took 13 shots on goal in the first half and played most of their first string players for the majority of the match. Camilo made it 1-0 by deflecting a shot off City defender Stefan Savic. Manchester City continue their preparations for their Premier League and Champions League campaigns with another World Football Challenge match against Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday at the Home Depot Center.
