Spanish World Cup-winner Pedro Rodriguez has extended his contract at Barcelona by one year to 2016, the European club champions announced on Tuesday. "Barcelona have reached an agreement with Pedro Rodriguez to increase and extend his contract by one year until June 30, 2016," the club said in a statement. "His departure clause will increase from 90 million euros ($130m) to 150 million euros." Pedro, 23, was a key member of the Spain team that won the country's first ever World Cup in 2010. He is also an essential component of the Barca attack alongside Lionel Messi and David Villa and scored 22 goals last season.
