Dynamo Moscow closed the gap at the top of the Russian Premier league to two points with a stunning 4-0 win over CSKA Moscow, while Zenit lost 4-2 to Lokomotiv Moscow in the capital. Goals from Ukrainian international striker Andrei Voronin and German forward Kevin Kuranyi gave Dynamo a 2-0 lead before the break. Further strikes from Argentine defender Leandro Fernandez and Alexander Kokorin wrapped up the win. Zenit stormed into a two-goal lead against Lokomotiv in Moscow, but the Railway men struck back with four in the second half to maintain their good run of form under Portuguese coach Jose Couceiro. The results mean CSKA and Zenit are joint top with 46 points. Dynamo are third on 44. In the North Caucasus, Samuel Eto’o scored his second goal in as many games to give Anzhi Makhachkala a 2-1 win over lowly Volga Nizhny Novgorod. Anzhi are now fourth, on 40 points.
