Promising young goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has signed an extension to his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach, tying him to the Bundesliga club until 2015. "Marc-Andre is an exceptional talent in the German game, and has a big future ahead of him, so we are delighted that he has extended his contract by a further year," said Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl. Ter Stegen, who represents Germany at U-19 level, first joined the Gladbach youth set-up in 1996 and has made 18 top-flight appearances for the club. He has conceded just nine goals this season, helping Lucien Favre's team to fourth in the table ahead of their home meeting with Werder Bremen on Saturday.
