Qatar Stars League (QSL) points leaders Al Sadd on Saturday crushed Eljaish 3-1 for their fifth consecutive win this season. Khalfan Ibrahim scored two goals (40 and 46) while fellow striker Mamadouh Niang (87) found a late goal. Last week, Ibrahim scored a hat-trick in his team’s win over Al Sailiyah. For Eljaish, the only goal was scored by Marcone in the 15th minute. Al Sadd now have 15 points from five matches. The former champions are at the top of the QSL standings. In another match, defending champions Lekhwiya on Saturday edged past Al Khor 2-1 to pick up points in round five of the Qatar Stars League (QSL). Lekhwiya, winners of the QSL titles the past two season, were guided home by Issiar Dia (20) and Nam Tai-Hee (70). For Al Khor, Ibrahim Mohammed scored the goal in the 49th minute. It was first QSL win for new Lekhwiya coach Eric Gerets who took over from Djamel Belmadi earlier this month. Lekhwiya have 7 points from 5 matches. Round six resumes on November 1.
