Al Sadd keep pace, Al Arabi bag points

Al Sadd moved back to within two points of Qatari League leaders Lekhwiya with a 1-0 win over lowly Al Khrityat. Yusef Ahmed Ali netted the only goal of the game in the 64th minute to lift second-placed Al Sadd onto 20 points from 11 games. In today's other match, Al Arabi picked up only their second victory of the campaign after defeating Al Ahly 2-0, Leonardo Pisculichi breaking the deadlock in the 31st minute and Baba Arco adding a second three minutes from time.
