WOMEN'S Sports Committee head at the Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa yesterday chaired the committee meeting to discuss preparations for the third edition of the GCC Women's Games. Shaikha Hayat welcomed the new committee members and they are Talal Malallah, Dalal Salama and Maryam Mirza, praising their competence of which she considered as a major boost to the committee, and wished them success. The committee also discussed many other topics on its agenda, including reports on the events that will be included during the Bahrain Women's Games, to be held during Bahrain's Women's Day celebrations. Shaikha Hayat lauded the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad, and chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women, as the committee will spare no efforts to make this event an all-round success. The committee also reviewed preparations to host the third edition of a GCC Woman's Games gymnasium, which Bahrain will host in March next years, and reports that was declared after the Organising Committee meeting of the GCC Women's Sports, which was held in the Kingdom recently. At the end of the meeting, Shaikha Hayat expressed expressed thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the committee members, emphasizing the need to continue to intensify work in the next stage to ensure the success of the coming event.
