The 11 edition of Dubai International Arabian Race Day is set to start tomorrow, Sunday, at the Capannelle Racecourse in the Italian capital of Rome under the directives and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.
In a press conference at the racecourse on Saturday, Merza Al Sayegh, chairman of the organising committee, said that the day features a mixed card of Thoroughbred and Arabian Racing with a feature race of the Group 1 Premio Presidente della Republica for Thoroughbreds. The Arabian races were the Premio Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum - No Risk Al Maury Conditions Stakes and the Premio MADJANI Shadwell Arabian Stakes.
Al Sayegh noted that this event is the result of the cooperation between the different parties involved including the UAE embassy in Rome, Jebel Ali racecourse which has concluded a strategic relation with Shadwell Stables and a successful partnership with the Capannelle racecourse for over 10 years in addition to the Emirates Airline, the biggest supporter of horse racing in general and this race in particular since it was launched for the first time many years ago.
