Mohamed Zidan and Ahmed El-Shennawi had a brief altercation during Wednesday's training session. The Egyptian internationals were caught fighting by a TV sports program on El Hayat channel on Wednesday ahead of their second World Cup qualifier away to Guinea. The bust-up lasted for a few minutes before the players resumed training. "Zidan is like my older brother, and what happened doesn’t go further than an on-camp altercation," keeper El-Shennawi told reporters. It is not the first time for Zidan to be involved in a bust-up as he had already clashed with his former Borussia Dortmund teammate Antonio Da Silva last January. The Pharaohs, who last reached the World Cup in 1990, are scheduled to fly to Guinea on Thursday. They kicked off their qualifying campaign with a 2-0 home win over Mozambique in Alexandria while Guinea claimed a 1-0 victory over Zimbabwe. Former Mainz striker Zidan scored Egypt's second goal in the win over Mozambique while promising guardian El-Shennawi stayed on the bench, with coach Bob Bradley favoring Essam El-Hadary over the youngster. ahramonline .
