Salman Faraj claimed the Grand Prix title in the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Showjumping Championship, held at the Military Sports Association Field in Al Raffah under the patronage of BREEF President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and sponsored by GPIC.
Showjumping Committee Chairman at BREEF Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, with Public Relations Director at GPIC Raeda Al Shammari and Media Committee Chairman at BREEF Tawfiq Al Salehi, crowned all the winners.
Salman Faraj was the hero of the day, winning the Grand Prix competition for barriers height 120-130 cm with the track speed set for 350 meters/minute, riding his horse My Precious in a total time of 45.56 seconds and four faults.
He was followed by Muslim Ali, who finished second riding his horse Pascal in a total time of 46.58 seconds and finishing with four faults.
In the Juniors Level 1 for barriers height 85-100cm with track speed set for 300 meters/minute, Nedhal Abdulnabi claimed first place riding his horse Lucito Fool in a total time of 29.04 seconds. He was followed by Aimee Keen riding her horse Rio in a total time of 29.63 seconds, while in third place was Abdullah Ali riding his horse Ghoroob in a total time of 31.81 seconds. Fourth was Ahmed Al Hashil riding his horse Wapiti in a total time of 40.18 seconds.
In the Juniors Level 2 for barriers height 95-110cm with the track speed set for 300 meters/minute, Ahmed Essa came first riding his horse Osina in a total time of 36.60 seconds. He was followed by Mayoof Al Rumaihi who came second, riding his horse Mashalla in a total time of 37.30 seconds, while Aimee Keen came in the third place riding her horse DJ Fleur in total time of 40.70 seconds.
In the Adults Level 1 category for the barriers height 85-100 cm and the track speed set for 350 meters/minute, Muslim Ali claimed first place riding his horse Emily in a total time of 26.10 seconds. He was followed by Bassim Mahdi who came second riding his horse Estrella in a total time of 26.70 seconds. Third place was Abbas Yousif riding his horse Argentini in a total time of 26.94 seconds.
In the Adults Level 2 for the barriers height 105-125 cm and the track speed set for 350 meters/minute, Sami Ghazwan claimed first place riding his horse Fairooz in total time of 32.78 seconds.
Second place was Basal Al Dossary riding horse Dilmun Dory in a total time of 36.23 seconds, while third place was Ahmed Mansour riding his horse Edward Du Sud in a total time of 37.08 seconds.
