International Coach Federation held its 40th meeting here on Tuesday, under chairmanship of the head of the International Court of Athletes and Coaches, John Coates.
In remarks to KUNA following the meeting, Coates said holding the federation meeting at the Olympic Council of Asia's headquarters in Kuwait constituted a good opportunity to get acquainted with the country's technical and organizational facilities and potentials.
The federation meeting was held on sidelines of the sports coaching conference for Asia and Africa, due in Kuwait on Wednesday.
Coates added that today's meeting was the first to be held in a GCC country, noting its significance for developing tasks of the international sports tribunal, adding that representatives of more than 120 States would take part in tomorrow's convention.
Today's meeting tackled a host of issues, namely the court tasks, adoption of its financial report and up to 408 cases that had been cross-examined by it throughout the year -- mostly dealing with soccer.
A request by the Asian Council to set up a special committee to examine disputes that make take place in the Asian games, due in South Korea in September, was approved.
