Jeddah Titans take Game 1, Cinnabon advances in Titan Watch–JBL basketball tourney

Jeddah Titans defeated VICCM in overtime 123-122 at the start of the best-of-three championship series for Division A of the 2016 Titan Watch-JBL Basketball here in Khalidia basketball court Jeddah.
Both teams played high intensity basketball in the whole match to the point of losing most of their scorers due to foul trouble. Bernard Carino scored 49 points for Jeddah Titans and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Soyer top-scored with 34 points for VICCM.

Cinnabon of team manager Jhun Ducusin beat Gensoul Lion 82-71 to advance to the 40 & above division best-of-three finals.
Cinnabon showed solid offense in the whole game. Gensoul Lion playing with only 6 players in their lineup tried hard to stay in the game but started to lose steam in the dying minutes. Aquino had 30 points for Cinnabon and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Umlas led the Gensoul Lion with 26 points.
Movenpick Resort Al Nawras defeated Khalidia Tambayz 114-102. Movenpick wisely played offense in the final quarter as Khalidia Tambayz committed crucial turnovers. Dula had 38 points for Movenpick Resort and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Calaunan chipped in 35 points for Khalidia Tambayz.
VICCM of Dennis Elmenzo beat Fame Thunders 106-98 in the semifinals to set up a title clash with Jeddah Titans, a 97-84 winner over Radian Khalidia in the other semis clash Thursday.
VICCM applied tight defense in the final quarter to halt the Fame offensive plays. Babaran top-scorec with 26 points for VICCM and was adjudged as Titan Watch best player of the game while Gallano contributed 41 points for Fame Thunders.
Jeddah Titans went to the open man for their offense in the final quarter. Bernard Carino chipped in 19 points for Jeddah Titans and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Guillardo top-scored with 21 points for the Radian Khalidia.
Khalidia Tambayz of coach Ronnie Carino upset the mighty NRF 126-106. Khalidia Tambayz displayed excellent teamwork as NRF missed important baskets. Sebunga top-scored with 42 points for Khalidia Tambayz and was adjudged as the Titan Watch best player of the game while Ali scored 31 points for NRF.
