Lekhwiya extended their lead at the top of the Qatar Stars League despite being held to a goalless draw by Umm Salal on Thursday. With the visitors unable to break down the dogged hosts, Lekhwiya were forced to settle for a point. Elsewhere, Al Gharafa relinquished an early lead in a 2-2 draw with Al Ahly. Edmilson and Mohammed Raza had put Al Gharafa two goals ahead inside the opening eight minutes but Adel Ahmed pulled a goal back midway through the second period and Alain Kaluyituka Dioko equalised just before the final whistle.
