Morocco will be banned from the next two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments after refusing to host the 2015 edition at its orginal date, Reuters reported the continent's football supremo Issa Hayatou as saying.
Hayatou said in an interview with French sports daily L'Equipe published Saturday that the confederation CAF 'will act according to the rules, meaning exclusion from the next two editions' 2015 and 2017.
Morocco was stripped as hosts of the 2015 edition last weekend after asking in vain to have the January 17-February 8 tournament rescheduled because of Ebola fears expressed by its government.
Equatorial Guinea were Friday named as new hosts by CAF.
