The Czech Republic tied Spain 1-1 after the first two singles matches in the Fed Cup tennis tournament here on Saturday.
The seventh-ranked Garbine Muguruza of Spain beat Barbora Strycova 2-1, before third-ranked Karolina Pliskova tied the scoreboard for the hosts by powering over Lara Arruabarrena 2-0.
On Sunday, Pliskova will meet Muguruza and Strycova will play Arruabarrena for the reversed singles.
Lucie Safarova and Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic will face Sara Sorribes Torm and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez of Spain for the doubles.
