The Danish men's handball team notched a 25-25 draw against Norway in its second qualifying match for the Rio 2016 Olympics at the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena in Herning, Denmark on Saturday.
The match turned out to be close since the very beginning as the score rose alternately and was tied at 6-6 after 12 minutes. The Norwegians then scored a string of goals to race into a 10-6 lead midway through the first half.
It was Denmark's star handballer Mikkel Hansen who was brilliant in front of goal, helping to keep Norway's lead down to 13-12 by the interval.
In a thrilling second half, the Danes continued to fight hard for their chance and the score was knotted eight times. Hansen still ended up as Danish top scorer with five goals though he did not score in the second half.
Denmark has gained three points in the first two matches, and it can secure a berth at the Olympics by drawing Bahrain on Sunday.
