The Egyptian national football team on Tuesday achieved an important 1-0 victory on Nigeria at Borg El-Arab Stadium to ensure Egypt's qualification for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon.
Egypt booked their spot in Gabon for the first time since 2010 when Ahly's midfielder Ramadan Sobhi score the match's single goal in the second half.
The national team top their group with seven points, five clear of Nigeria who now lost any hopes of qualifying due to the sudden withdrawal of bottom side Chad.
