Egypt's Inas Mostafa continued a remarkable run at the Rio Olympic Games after reaching the women's freestyle wrestling semis with a 5-1 victory over Brazilian Gilda Maria De Oliveira on Wednesday, Ahram Online reported.
Mostafa had the better of Marie De Oliveira in the 69kg category to continue her bid towards a historic medal, which would be the first for an Egyptian women in wrestling.
The 27-year-old was barely affected by the Brazilian fan cheers, winning by fall when the score was 1-1.
Earlier on Wednesday, Mostafa qualified for the quarterfinals after beating Venezuela's Maria Jose Acosta 8-0.
She excelled with a convincing win by a points decision to advance to the last eight.
Egypt has already won two bronze medals at the ongoing Rio Games, both in Weightlifting.
