Maria Sharapova will face off against Serbian Jelena Jankovic for the Western & Southern Open title after the pair won their semifinal matches Saturday. Sharapova bested second-seeded Vera Zvonareva 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in one semifinal after Zvonareva dominated the first set. But Sharapova -- who made her second Western & Southern Open final in as many years -- won four straight games against an error-prone Zvonareva to take a 4-1 edge in the third set and went on to win the all-Russian match. She'll try to win her second title of the year Sunday, facing Jankovic, the No. 13 seed who bested an injured Andrea Petkovic 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 in the night's second semifinal. The ninth-seeded Petkovic used a brace while playing with torn meniscus in her right knee. Jankovic is looking for her 13th career title and first this year but is just 1-5 all-time against Sharapova.
