The tourists, who were 177 for nine overnight, saw their innings last 19 deliveries before No 11 Chanaka Welegedara was out for seven. Dilhara Fernando made a Test-best 39 not out. Fast bowler Chris Tremlett, on the ground where he made his name and in the Rose Bowl's Test debut, took a Test-best six for 48 in his 20 overs. England lead this three-match series 1-0.
