Moscow’s Slava were handed a 51-6 beating at home on Monday by Krasnoyarsk side Yenisei-STM, in a hard-fought rugby match. The visitors took control early on, and never looked like losing it, showing fine passing and offloading skills and a pace that Slava often found hard to match. The pressure on Slava began to show, with the line-out beginning to fail and turnovers handing the opportunities to the visitors. Yenisei had all but won at half time, with the score at 35-3. The second half gave little respite to the home side, and the 51-6 final score showed why Yenisei are at the top of the Russian league and set to win it.
