Qatari team won their first gold medal in the women's in the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Shooting Championship, currently being held in Al Ain / UAE, until April 13, with participation of more than 100 shooters .
The gold medal was played by Aisha Al Suwaidi in the 10 meters gun competition, in which 35 women, including 10 women from the UAE, took part, along with Qatar, Bahrain, Croatia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Norway, Switzerland, Egypt and Serbia.
Al Suwaidi made an excellent performance during the competitions which was held in the main hall and was able to outscale the champions of Norway and Kazakhstan.
Qatar's Aisha Al Mutawa was ranked fourth in the overall standings. Aisha Al Suwaidi, the Qatari national team leader, expressed her happiness for her first participation in the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Women's Shooting Championship, which is contested by some of the world's top players, noting that her victory of the gold medal came after a strong competition with the rest of the women.
