Istanbul - Arab Today

Spain captain Iker Casillas had to be substituted just 15 minutes into his return to the Real Madrid side in their Champions League opener against Galatasaray after suffering a rib injury. The 32-year-old clashed with teammate Sergio Ramos when coming to collect a simple cross into the Madrid area barely 60 seconds into the match. He went on to make one fine save from a long-range volley by Felipe Melo, but was clearly in some discomfort and, after receiving treatment from the Madrid physios, he eventually decided to come off to be replaced by Diego Lopez. Casillas was making his first appearance for Los Blancos in a competitive game since January after first breaking a bone in his hand and then losing his place in the side to Lopez. Source: AFP
