London - Arabstoday

Marseille could be without defender Souleymane Diawara for the rest of the season after he suffered a serious knee injury at the weekend. The Senegal international ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee early in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Nice and had to be replaced by Charles Kabore - who was then sent off before half-time. Diawara told L'Equipe: "I am not often injured but when it is the case, I don't do things by halves. Life goes on. Would you like to hear me complain? I do not have to show my sadness." Of more concern to Diawara was his side's dismal run of form, which has seen them go eight games without a win since their 1-0 first-leg win over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League last-16. Saturday's draw followed five successive league defeats while they were also dumped out of the Coupe de France by third-tier side Quevilly and lost the second leg against Inter 2-1, though their first-leg win saw them through on away goals. They face Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, with the first leg this Wednesday. Diawara said: "We are in a difficult spell, it is not the time to cry (over my injury). Against Quevilly, we brought shame on the OM shirt and the town. (Against) Bayern is the chance to erase that shame."
