World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is being rested during next week's Davis Cup quarterfinals in which his native Serbia will play Sweden. Djokovic is recovering from the Australian Open, in which he played a total of nearly 11 hours in winning five-set matches in the semifinals and finals. Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 7-5 in a record-setting 5 hours, 53 minutes in the title match Sunday. Serbian Davis Cup captain Bogdan Obradovic said he made the decision to rest Djokovic. Serbia will have world No. 9 Janko Tipsarevic and 22nd-ranked Viktor Troicki available, however. Serbia won the Davis Cup in 2010 behind Djokovic. The year's first Davis Cup series are Feb. 10-12 with the Sweden-at-Serbia matchup one of eight best-of-five contests set for the World Group.
