Cleveland Browns President Mike Holmgren said cornerback Joe Haden is awaiting word on the outcome of his drug suspension appeal hearing. Holmgren confirmed Haden's four-game suspension, telling WKRK-FM, Cleveland, "He's had his appeal hearing." Haden reportedly tested positive for the stimulant Adderall, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer said Tuesday. It was unknown if Haden would be available for the Browns' first game of the season, or if the suspension would begin immediately. "I suspect if we haven't heard by now, we'll have him for the first game," said Holmgren, adding he did not know for sure. The National Football League typically hands down suspensions on Monday or Tuesday of a game week, the newspaper noted.
