FC Internazionale Milano have suffered an injury blow with the news that central defender Walter Samuel is expected to miss his side's back-to-back UEFA Champions League games with LOSC Lille Métropole. The Argentinian international suffered a right-thigh strain in the second half of the Nerazzurri's 2-1 loss at Calcio Catania on Saturday. Tests confirmed that the 33-year-old will be unavailable for two weeks, meaning he will miss Inter's trip to northern France on Tuesday and is a doubt for the return meeting with the same opponents at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on 2 November. There is some good news on the injury front for coach Claudio Ranieri as Cristian Chivu has recovered from an ankle injury. The former Romanian international could start alongside Lúcio in defence as Inter hope to overtake Group B leaders Trabzonspor A?.
