Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has been ruled out of Germany's friendly with Ukraine on Friday due to a knee injury, the German Football Federation (DFB) announced on Monday. The 33-year-old is suffering from an inflamed tendon in his left knee and Germany's medical staff have advised him to rest for several days, the DFB said. The former Bayern Munich forward is expected to join up with his team-mates in Hamburg on Saturday, however, and should be fit for the friendly against the Netherlands there on 15 November. Klose has 112 caps for Germany, having made his international debut in March 2001, and is the second-highest scorer in the country's history with 62 goals -- six less than Gerd Muller.
