A spokesman for Al-Jawf resistance, Abdullah al-Ashraf said that the Yemeni army, supported by the resistance, has made military progress in Al-Jawf province in northeastern Yemen.
He added that the army units converged on three fronts in the front of the Sakia, west of the Ghail and the forehead of the mortar and the crucifixion, saying that army forces approached the mountains of Sliam between the province of Al-Jouf and the governorates of Sana'a and Amran on the other hand, and described this military progress and docking rare.
He praised the Alliance's support for air support, arming and training, which helped build strong army units capable of winning victories in the most complex terrain. The National Army and Popular Resistance Forces recaptured large areas of the province that Houthi militias had controlled since early 2015.
He added that the government is continuing to rehabilitate the mill for it to return to work with its previous capacity, adding that local workers will be employed which will be a source of income. He stressed that Development will gradually return to Abyan and the reestablishment of cotton mill is positive news to all cotton farmers in the region, Bin Dagher stated.
He stressed that “Everyone must understand that peace is the choice of development path”, he stressed, adding that the governorate gave priority to fighting Cholera. He added Al-Qaeda terrorist organization exploits absence of power in certain areas, something the international community warns from.
He stated that many extremist groups took advantage of the absence of state to establish its powers in the area. He told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that long absence of any official presence and delay of return of minister from Riyadh weakened their supporters in those areas including Abyan.
