Egyptian parliamentarian Hussein Abu Jad expected that the visit of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to the U.S scheduled to be conducted in April will leave positive effects on the relations between the two countries after years of tensions during Obama Administration.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the visit, in which President Sisi will meet with his U.S counterpart Donald Trump, will discuss the cooperation between the two countries in different economic, political, investment and trade fields.
Regarding the terrorism issue, Jad said that the two presidents will give the priority to this issue during their talks, adding that there are other issues that will be discussed, including the Palestinian issue, Syrian crisis and the war in both Iraq and Yemen.
He underlined the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, signaling to the Egyptian role in the current fight against terrorism. He revealed that a parliamentary delegation is scheduled to travel to the U.S to support the Egyptian president during his visit to Washington in coordination with political and popular powers there.
