President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Monday that no one could ever shake the morale of Egyptians.
The cowardly and heinous operations carried out by this stray group so hateful to life, humankind and religion, were bound to happen as we all had known, said Sisi in remarks after opening 19 projects worth 3.5 billion pounds carried out by the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces.
"We, the Egyptians, are life makers who serve humanity and preserve religion, our true religion that protects people and respects their identity, will and choices and not one that kills and destroys."
Addressing the Egyptian people, Sisi said "there is no going back and Egypt will, God willing, emerge victorious. God is with you and will protect you. The future is yours."
"No one could ever stop Egypt's progress or disrupt its march because Egyptians are fully aware of all matters around them and they are ready to sincerely stand by their homeland," President Sisi said.
"We are fighting a big battle for the sake of the Egyptian citizen and no side could ever stand against all Egyptians. Renaissance and development need us together", the president added.
Killing and destruction are not part of any religion and it is totally unreasonable that the one who claims to be advocating religion is the one who kills and destroys, he said.
Asked about the economic conference to open in Sharm el Sheikh on Friday, Sisi said some people are trying to take us backward but they would not succeed. No one could prevent any nation from building security, stability, peace and justice for its citizens."
Development and progress are an integral part of Egypt's national security, Sisi said. "We are working for the Egyptian citizen through building and modernization and not through killing and destruction.
He added that he only thinks about Egyptians' interests and their safety and fear no one except God.
He lauded the accurate and quick implementation of these projects, saying "we need many of these projects in the different governorates so that simple citizens would feel that there is someone who cares for them".
Thanking the civil companies that took part in carrying out these projects with the help of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, Sisi assured them that their rights are preserved and that they will take their money as promised.
He paid tribute to the UAE which did not only give assistance to Egypt but also took part in many projects.
"We thank all sides that stood by Egypt at this critical stage but we have to depend on ourselves even if we were forced not to eat for the sake of building our country. We need to pressure ourselves more if we want to make real miracles since we have no more options".
Before he started his word, Sisi asked the participants to stand one minute in mourning on the occasion of Martyr's Day.
