Palestinian analyst Akram Attallah stressed that the current Gulf crisis will end in the near future, saying that the international major powers will not accept that the continuation of the current conflict for a long period of time.
He blamed the Qatari government for supporting the terrorist groups for years, saying that the Qatari government attempted to destabilize the region. He praised the decision taken by a number of Arab countries to boycott the Gulf tiny state.
Qatar-backed Takfiri powers suffer a setback thanks to the determination of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain to face their criminal acts, he said. He added congratulated the Libyan army for the great victory over terrorist groups, backed by Qatar.
He called on Arab countries and the African Union to support the Libyan army in the fight against terrorism. He also held the international community responsible for disrupting the funding of terrorist groups.
He said that the four Arab countries, through their list, were seeking to fight terrorism and counter its financing, noting that Doha has failed to respect diplomatic principles by leaking the demands to the media with the aim of thwarting Kuwait’s efforts and bringing the crisis back to the starting point.
The anti-terrorism countries stressed that the Qatari people were an integral part of the Gulf and Arab system, and that the measures taken were directed towards the Qatari government “to correct its path”.
He added that the four Arab states spending their efforts in the fight against terrorism “cannot accept Qatar’s destructive role,” adding that the international community must also be responsible in combating terrorism.
“The response the four states got was overall negative and lacked any content. We find it did not provide a basis for Qatar to retreat from its policies,” He added
