Sheikh Khalid bin Mustahail al Mashani, Chairman of BankMuscat has announced that the Bank will give a financial support for the players of the National Football Team taking part in the Asian qualifier for 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil, in addition to, a support for the players of the National Olympic Team taking part in London Olympic games 2012 football Asian qualifiers to encourage the youth and support the national teams. Sheikh al Mashani said that the Bank's initiative to support the national teams is a national commitment and comes within the strategy of the bank in supporting and promoting all social, cultural and sports sectors, affirming the Bank's keenness in encouraging the Omani youth to achieve positive results in the regional and international competitions. The financial support will be extended to Oman national football team members. The BankMuscat support is conditional on the team winning matches and recording positive results in the Asian qualifier tournaments. The National Football Team will be playing against Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Australia in the Asian qualifier for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil. BankMuscat will also give financial rewards for the players of the National Olympic Team in a victory of each match in the qualification for 2012 Olympics in London.
