The midfielder, who joined the Reds from Aston Villa in the summer, believes the club are playing good football and entertaining a deserving Anfield crowdLiverpool midfielder Stewart Downing is pleased the club has been able to entertain its fans with an exciting brand of football this season.Kenny Dalglish's side are fifth in the Premier League table after victories over Wolves and Everton followed back to back defeats to Stoke City and Tottenham.Only four clubs have scored more Premier League goals than the Reds so far this season, and Downing is hoping the club's attacking philosophy is kept."It's good to see the fans are enjoying watching the team play and the way we're trying to play," Downing told LFC Magazine."We're trying our best for them because they deserve it."I think fans watch football to be entertained. They want to see goals and forward players attacking. It's nice when you can do that."Some managers obviously don't want a game to be too open, but from a fans' point of a view, players are there to entertain and do well."I think particularly at home, we have done that this season. Our football has been good and long may it continue."Liverpool's next fixture sees them host bitter rivals and unbeaten league leaders Manchester United on October 15.
